In 1988, Larry Reichart established his own lumber enterprise – Larry’s Lumber & Supply, Inc. He inherited his father’s sawmill and worked in a lumberyard for 16 years, which equipped him with the knowledge to create his own company. Starting from scratch, he ran his business at a small location behind Columbia County’s office building for the first two years before moving to its current Buckhorn location in 1990.
Despite the influx of large store chains in the area, Larry’s Lumber remains the preferred lumber yard and hardware store for local community members due to their exceptional expertise in lumber wood materials, construction products, and hardware needs. The family-owned business, headed by Larry and his wife Claudia, son Brad, and daughter-in-law Amber, offers personalized service that larger operations can’t match. With over 40 years of experience in the lumber industry, Larry has witnessed the evolution of lumber products and the introduction of new materials in the market in recent years.
